SBJ: Home Builders Gear up for Green Showcase in August

In its July 20-27 issue, Springfield Business Journal reported that the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield will host a Green Product Showcase Night on August 18 at the Clarion Hotel. The article also shared the HBA will offer designation classes locally for people who wish to pursue their Certified Green Professional designation. Those courses will be offered September 9-11, 2009. Tuition charges apply. Registration is through the HBA of Greater Springfield's education coordinator, Carrie Smith.

Springfield Business Journal this week interviewed Sam Clifton (Millstone Custom Homes) for its "5Q" segment. Clifton, a member of the HBA of Greater Springfield Board of Directors, recently completed a local build for ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition television program. The interview explores the genesis and scope of the project, and Clifton shares his hopes of how the project could positively affect the community.

KSPR: Extreme Makeover Home Edition Reveal: TUESDAY Morning

KSPR 33 has run wall-to-wall coverage of the local build of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition - a build led by HBA builder Sam Clifton, owner of Millstone Custom Homes.
